This is the most active dead page I've ever seen, and I've watched SO MANY promising interactive fiction novels go on pause or hiatus and then be abandoned exactly like this. This was literally my first interactive novel experience, opposed to a VISUAL novel, and quite literally opened my eyes, but this is so real, I love it even in its unfinished form.
Anya, I hope you're doing okay! Even if you decided to put this story down, we all just hope you're alright. You're an incredible writer and we would all be supportive if you chose to do something else. We miss you!

I was looking at the things I've commented on in my profile and I saw the comment I left here 4 years ago, after finishing what was available of the game, asking if it would be possible for us to download the save file (oh boy little did I know)... it's been so longgg but it's comforting to see there are a lot of comments here from ppl that also played Scout 4 years ago and are still emotionally attatched to it. You've made a compelling, lovable story, and I hope you're doing alright, Anya :/ and even if you don't plan on continuing to write this story, I'm sure you'd be supported by the people here if you decided to start another one!!
in about 3 days it will mark 4 years since this game last had an update. it was, like many others, my first ever text-based game i read and played :) its extremely bitter to acknowledge it probably will stay with no updates forever, but i want the author to know wherever they are that they come first, that theyve already built such a beautiful community and game, and that i wish them all the good luck and love there is in the world. thanks for everything scout and thank you author!! <3 - maite

First if ever for me, played like a week after the on hold announcement, led me to discover some things I liked, and I still revisit every now and then, holding on a little sliver of hope I may see it updated
I wish I knew this was a ghosted IF before playing it so I wouldn't have played it.. Because I am now literally torn and heartbroken at the fact there is no conclusion to this incredible experience. If you happen to see this author, I hope you're well and I hope you realize how talented you are and how many people are moved by your work. I have never delved so deep into a IF. But this.. Is a masterpiece. I felt like I was the main character.
I dont know who im in love with more, Oliver, Ezra, Gage, or the story itself. Either way, the story isn't finished yet (and that is no problem bc i now have time to make all the fanart my heart desire), but it is something I've never read before, its well written and fleshed out, very VERY intriguing and I am looking forward to the next chapter <3<3
this is incredible work! Even though it seems it may never be finished, it was still really enjoyable to experience what there is of it - I hope the author is doing well :)
Heard a lot about this game. Including how heartbroken people are about it being ghosted. But, I'm gonna try it anyway because with so many people still loving it, even years later, it must be something special. I really hope the author didn't vanish because they passed... I hope they can still read all the lovely messages people are leaving for them here, and that it cheers them up.

this was one the first IFs i read. it's such a bittersweet feeling, knowing i can't ever read this story for the first time again 🤧🤧
